The 402nd Infantry (Stingers) Brigade, Philippine Army, represented by IEC Team Leader 2LT Mary Evangelyn R Duronio, paid a courtesy visit to the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Caraga Regional Director Dr. Nelia A. Alibin today, June 29, 2026, to discuss the proposed conduct of an Education and Information Campaign (EIC) to identified higher education institutions (HEIs) in the Caraga Region.

During the meeting, the Brigade presented the objectives of the proposed campaign aiming to promote patriotism, national security awareness, responsible citizenship, and active participation in nation-building among college learners. The initiative forms part of the Brigade’s continuing Civil-Military Operations and advocacy efforts in partnership with higher education institutions.

CHED Caraga expressed its support for collaborative initiatives that contribute to the holistic development of learners. Through partnerships with government agencies and stakeholders, CHED Caraga continues to promote programs that foster informed, responsible, and socially engaged citizens while advancing accessible and quality higher education in the region.
