To support the effective delivery of student financial assistance, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Caraga Regional Office, together with LandBank of the Philippines, successfully conducted an orientation for the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) grantees of Caraga State University (CSU) on April 22, 2026 at the CSU Gymnasium, Ampayon, Butuan City.
The activity aimed to equip TES grantees with essential information on program guidelines, as well as the step by step procedure for the opening of their individual bank accounts, in line with the government’s efforts in improving efficiency and service delivery through direct fund disbursement.
Mr. Ever Joy G. Rabadan, Education Supervisor II and UniFAST/Scholarship In-Charge, encouraged students to remain committed to their academic journey and make the most of the opportunities provided through government support. This was followed by the TES orientation conducted by Ms. Heidi M. Paradero, Lead Regional Coordinator, who discussed the guidelines, benefits, and compliance requirements under the Unified Student Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education (UniFAST). The session also emphasized the importance of student awareness and responsibility in maintaining eligibility for the program.
Meanwhile, Ms. Anna Ly D. Babel, Branch Marketing Officer, LBP Butuan Branch, facilitated the orientation on the account opening process, guiding student beneficiaries through the procedures and requirements necessary for setting up their accounts to enable streamlined fund disbursement.
Through this initiative, CHED Caraga continues to collaborate with partner institutions and agencies in promoting responsive, efficient, and accessible delivery of student financial assistance across the region.
