To ensure Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) are ready for a smoother scholarship fund disbursement, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Caraga Regional Office, in coordination with the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP), convened HEI Scholarship Focals across the region for a Coordinative Meeting held via Zoom on April 7, 2026.
The activity focused on aligning processes and strengthening coordination in preparation for the upcoming rollout of LBP account opening for scholarship grantees under the Unified Student Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education (UniFAST), aimed at enabling more efficient and direct fund disbursement.
A key highlight of the meeting was the presentation of Ms. Anna Ly D. Babael, Branch Marketing Officer of LBP – Butuan Branch, who discussed the process flow for the LandBank online account application. This was followed by an open forum where participants raised questions, shared insights, and clarified operational concerns to ensure implementation readiness.
Through this initiative, CHED Caraga continues to work closely with LBP and partner HEIs in advancing coordinated, responsive, and accessible delivery of student financial assistance across the region.
