In line with its commitment to expanding access to higher education, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Caraga Regional Office conducted the Project PEPA (Patuloy na Edukasyon, Patuloy na Pag-Ahon) Caravan via Zoom on March 23, 2026, engaging Grade 12 senior high school students from across the Caraga Region. The activity aimed to provide learners with essential information on scholarship opportunities, financial assistance programs, and education pathways available to them after senior high school.
Implemented through the Unified Student Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education (UniFAST), the virtual caravan gathered graduating Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) students, along with their parents and partner agencies. The activity served as a platform to guide participants in making informed decisions about their educational future.
During the activity, Mr. Ever Joy G. Rabadan, Education Supervisor II and CHED Scholarship–UniFAST Unit In-Charge, presented the CHED Scholarship Programs, highlighting available grants and application guidelines. Meanwhile, Ms. Heidi M. Paradero, Project Technical Staff III and UniFAST Lead Regional Coordinator, discussed student financial assistance programs under UniFAST. Ms. Maria Cristina V. Soberano, Senior TESDA Specialist, also shared information on technical-vocational education opportunities and career pathways for senior high school graduates.
The activity underscored the continued collaboration among CHED, TESDA, DepEd, and DSWD in supporting learners across the region. It also reaffirmed CHED Caraga’s commitment to promoting inclusive access to quality higher education and empowering students to pursue their academic and career aspirations. This virtual caravan forms part of a continuing series of Project PEPA activities, which will be conducted across all provinces in the region to reach more students and expand access to education and training opportunities.
