In line with its efforts to guide Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) on regulatory compliance, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Caraga Regional Office conducted an orientation on the online application process for Tuition and Other School Fees (TOSF) increase on March 10, 2026 via Zoom platform. The activity aimed to provide participating institutions with guidance on the proper procedures, requirements, and compliance mechanisms in accordance with CHED policies.
During the orientation, Mr. Ever Joy G. Rabadan, MAEM, MSc., Education Supervisor II and TOSF Focal Person, discussed the provisions of CHED Memorandum Order (CMO) No. 03, series of 2012, as amended by CMO No. 08, series of 2012, emphasizing the policies governing applications for tuition and other school fee increases. Meanwhile, Ms. Jesielyn Mae Ado, Project Technical Staff II, presented the step-by-step process of the online application to assist HEIs in properly submitting their requests through the digital platform.
The session also included a discussion by Mr. Ronan Otaza, Project Technical Staff I, on the submission of baseline data for TOSF of HEIs in the region. The orientation served as an avenue for institutions to better understand regulatory requirements and strengthen compliance, reaffirming CHED Caraga’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and quality assurance in higher education.
