The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Caraga Regional Office and the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Regional Office XIII – Caraga strengthened their partnership through a coordination meeting held on March 5, 2026, at the PRC Caraga Regional Office in Butuan City. The meeting provided an opportunity for both agencies to discuss initiatives that would support professionals and aspiring professionals in the region.

During the meeting, CHED Caraga Regional Director Dr. Nelia A. Alibin discussed with PRC Caraga Regional Director Cheryll P. Elicano key initiatives to enhance coordination between the two agencies, particularly on strengthening data sharing mechanisms related to licensure examination performance. The discussion included the sharing of information on board passers and institutional passing percentages of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the region to support evidence-based planning and program interventions aimed at improving graduates’ performance in professional licensure examinations.

The meeting also served as a platform to exchange ideas and explore other initiatives that would further enhance programs and services for students and professionals in the Caraga Region, reaffirming both agencies’ shared commitment to advancing professional development and public service.
